Harbor Books will be one of the galleries on this year’s Grays Harbor Open Studios Tour. Whether you're an art aficionado or simply curious to peek behind the curtain of creativity, ghOST promises an unforgettable experience for all. Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of artistic expression, where every studio tells a unique story waiting to be discovered.
This year, Artist Amber Buck will exhibit her acrylic landscapes and provide painting demonstrations at Harbor Books. She will also offer a hands-on create-your-own northwest fauvist landscape workshop.
Amber Buck is a west coast born and raised artist who has dreamed in vivid colors since she was a small girl. During a brief move to Nevadaat five years old she discovered her fascination with the myriad landscapes of the earth- the barren desert, the purple storm clouds, the blue mountains, the green rivers, the yellow dunes, mighty white snow capped peaks, verdant green fields, the pink sunrises, the orange sunsets and all the flora and fauna that accompany the bountiful landscapes of sacred creation. She currently resides in her favorite state in PNW, moody and beautiful Washington. Her work can be found in West coast homes from Anchorage, Alaska, to Northern California, east to Albuquerque, NM and all the way to Spain, Portugal, Italy and the UK. Each work is hand made without any use of Ai and will always be so.
In addition, Harbor Books will feature the works of local authors in fiction, poetry, memoir, and children’s books. During the tour, we will display framed artwork by Nancy Farrar-Coughlin and Richard Eves Woods. We also have greeting cards and bookmarks featuring images by several local artists.
From painters to sculptors, photographers to mixed-media magicians, ghOST celebrates the diverse talents that call Grays Harbor home.
